Kitchen appliances maker TTK Prestige reported a 65 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in consolidated net profit to ₹104.4 crore for the second quarter, compared with ₹63.2 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Revenue from operations rose 21 per cent y-o-y to ₹1,008.96 crore.
The company reported broad-based growth across product categories, distribution channels and regions, supported by robust domestic demand, festive-season purchases and strengthening replacement demand in urban and semi-urban markets.
Domestic sales grew 23.4 per cent to ₹944.5 crore, while export sales declined to ₹14.8 crore from ₹21.3 crore a year ago. Total sales increased 21.9 per cent to ₹959.3 crore.
Operating EBITDA, before exceptional items, rose 70.9 per cent to ₹171.7 crore, compared with ₹100.5 crore in the year-ago quarter. Operating EBITDA margin improved to 17.9 per cent from 12.8 per cent.
The company said continued inflation in key commodity inputs exerted pressure on gross margins. However, strategic sourcing, supply chain efficiencies and timely pricing interventions helped mitigate the impact. The EBITDA improvement also came amid a sharp reduction in business excellence-related expenses, which stood at ₹0.7 crore against ₹17.9 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Induction cooktops remained the primary growth driver, while cookware led category growth on the back of premiumisation and a favourable product mix. Electrical kitchen appliances and cookers also recorded strong growth.
General trade led channel growth, followed by e-commerce, modern trade, exclusive brand outlets and Canteen Stores.
The company said exports continued to face challenges from the West Asia crisis and tariff-related headwinds.
During the quarter, TTK Prestige agreed to divest its investment in the subsidiary Ultrafresh Modular Solutions, which operates in the modular kitchen business. It recognised an impairment loss of ₹13.5 crore on the proposed divestment in its standalone results.
