Bengaluru-based ready-to-cook food maker iD Fresh Food reported a 28 per cent year-on-year increase in its consolidated revenue from operations to ₹879.3 crore in FY26, even as exceptional items of over ₹700 crore pushed it into a reported net loss of more than ₹600 crore, according to data accessed from market intelligence firm Tracxn.
However, the company’s underlying profitability improved during the year. Profit before tax and exceptional items rose to about ₹78 crore from ₹23.6 crore in the previous fiscal.
Total expenses increased to around ₹800 crore during the year. The cost of materials consumed rose to ₹260 crore from ₹230 crore, an increase of about 13 per cent year-on-year. Purchases of stock-in-trade, meanwhile, increased 27.6 per cent to ₹131 crore from ₹102.6 crore.
Founded in 2005, iD Fresh built its business around ready-to-cook products such as idli and dosa batter and has since expanded into parathas, chapatis, paneer, curd, and other packaged food categories. The company has also entered the snacking segment as it seeks to diversify beyond its core fresh-food offerings.
International expansion is another part of its growth strategy. The company plans to establish 10 manufacturing hubs across markets including Singapore, Sri Lanka, the US, the UK, Europe and Canada over the next two years. Its proposed model involves completing most of the production process at dedicated facilities, with final-stage processing undertaken in destination markets.
The expansion comes as iD Fresh prepares for a potential initial public offering by October FY27. The company’s ability to scale its overseas operations, build newer product categories.
