Gaurav Khanna, who has won hearts with his impeccable performance as Anuj in the Rupali Ganguly-starrer television show, has been awarded the Best Performer of the Year at the BL Awards 2024. The BL Awards 2024 was organized digitally in a grand manner, celebrating artists from the world of television, film, and OTT in their respective categories. Gaurav won the award for Best Performer of the Year. In an exclusive conversation with BollywoodLife.com, the actor expressed his gratitude for the win and reminisced about the time when people doubted his ability to play Anuj.

Sharing his heartfelt gratitude to Rajan Shahi and his fans, Gaurav Khanna said, ”I am thrilled to have won the Best Performer of the Year award at the BollywoodLife.com Awards 2024. It’s truly an honor, especially considering the caliber of talent among the nominees. Sharing the nomination category with Adnan, Aditi, Shakti, Rupali ji, is fantastic in itself. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the fans out there. It’s because of their support that Anuj Kapadia has become what he is. I also want to mention the most important person in my journey, Rajan Shahi sir, who entrusted me with the role of Anuj Kapadia.”

Reflecting on the time when people doubted his portrayal of Anuj on screen, the actor said, ”When Rajan sir offered me the role, there were doubts from some quarters. Being an outsider, there were questions about whether I could pull it off, especially in the number 1 show. Thank you so much, Rajan sir, for believing in me. This award is evidence that people have loved Anuj and continue to love him. So, thanks to Rajan sir and especially to all the fans, without whom I wouldn’t have received this award.” Check out the video below.

The actor further added, ‘To be honest, I don’t receive a lot of awards in life. While I did receive many awards in school, it hasn’t been the case in my acting career. I’m not very social; I don’t party much. I simply focus on my work and head home, ready for the next day. I’m not very experienced in giving speeches for awards, but I truly appreciate this recognition. Thank you once again to everyone who has supported me throughout my journey.’

Gaurav Khanna truly deserves this award as there’s not a single day where fans don’t hail him for portraying the character of Anuj with so much honesty and conviction.
