Consumer appliances start-up, Foundry, has raised ₹12 crore in pre-seed funding led by BEENEXT and Kettleborough VC, with participation from Rishubh Satiya of Plix, Anindita Sampath of Yogabar, and Anita Pramoda of Owned Outcomes. Founded by Ankit Jain, former MD, Dyson India, Foundry’s first product will be in the kitchen appliances space.
The funding will support technology development and product engineering as Foundry prepares to launch its first range of kitchen appliances in H2 2027, it added.
“I’ve spent years working at the intersection of technology and consumer products and believe that the next leap in appliances will come from rethinking how they are engineered, how they work together and how intelligence can make them more useful over time. That’s the approach we’re taking at Foundry. We’re investing in the technology from the ground-up, with the ambition of creating a fundamentally different experience with everyday appliances,” said Jain.
Anirudh Garg, Partner at BEENEXT, said, “The time for premium home appliances in India has arrived. Ankit, with his years of experience scaling multiple consumer products, not just in India but in multiple international markets, is uniquely positioned to build a large premium brand from India to the world.”
