Welspun Corp has secured its largest-ever order for high-frequency induction welded (HFIW) pipes, valued at around $412.5 million (nearly ₹4,000 crore), with the pipes to be manufactured at the company’s upgraded facility in Little Rock, Arkansas, in the US.
The order, won by Welspun Tubular LLC, the company’s wholly owned US subsidiary, is the largest in the company’s history in terms of volume, length and value, Welspun Corp said in a stock exchange filing on Friday. The order is scheduled to be executed during FY28 and FY29.
The latest win has pushed Welspun Corp’s global order book to a record $4.7 billion (around ₹45,000 crore), according to the company. The pipes will be manufactured at the newly upgraded HFIW mill at Little Rock, which has enhanced production capabilities. The company said the order underscores the scale and execution capabilities of its US operations and strengthens its strategy of expanding manufacturing capacity in international markets.
Welspun Corp has been expanding its manufacturing footprint in the US as part of its strategy to serve customers closer to their markets and strengthen its position in the global pipe business. The company did not disclose the identity of the customer or the specific project for which the pipes will be supplied in its exchange filing.
The record order comes as Welspun Corp continues to build its international order pipeline, with the US remaining an important market for its pipe business. The company said the latest contract also reinforces its long-term relationships with international customers and demonstrates the capabilities of its upgraded US manufacturing operations.
