VFS Global inaugurated a new Korea Visa Application Centre in New Delhi on 15 September 2026, expanding its South Korea visa processing footprint to six centres across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The New Delhi centre, located at Shivaji Stadium Metro Station in Connaught Place, was opened by South Korean Ambassador to India, H.E. Lee Seong-ho.
The expansion brings VFS Global’s total Korea visa processing network to nine centres across six countries globally. In South Asia, centres now operate in four Indian cities, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata, alongside newly opened centres in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Colombo, Sri Lanka.
VFS Global has handled South Korea visa processing in India since 2011. The company’s Chief Operating Officer for South Asia, Yummi Talwar, cited growing visa demand across the region as the driver for the expansion.
The company’s role is limited to collecting application forms, documentation and biometrics. Visa decisions remain the exclusive authority of the concerned embassy.
The expansion coincides with VFS Global’s 25th anniversary. The company, headquartered in Zurich and Dubai and majority-owned by Blackstone, operates over 4,200 application centres in 170 countries and has processed more than 562 million transactions since 2001. It currently serves 71 client governments.
