Transformers and Rectifiers (India) on Tuesday said that it plans to invest ₹1,250 crore in setting up three greenfield manufacturing facilities in Gujarat.
The new plants will make components like bushings, oil-impregnated paper (OIP), resin-impregnated paper (RIP) and resin-impregnated fibre (RIF) up to 800 kV, besides pressboard & insulation materials and continuously transposed conductors (CTC) that are essential for high-voltage transformer manufacturing, the company said in an exchange filing.
The investment of ₹1,250 crore for three manufacturing plants at Chiyada complex in Gujarat comes at a time when the country expands power infrastructure to meet rising electricity demand, renewable energy integration and transmission network modernisation, Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Limited (TARIL) said.
The three plants will be housed under a wholly-owned consolidated ancillary subsidiary of TARIL, providing complete control over manufacturing quality, technology, procurement and long-term strategic direction.
Construction of these facilities has already started in December 2025, and their commercial operations are expected to begin in the first quarter of FY28.
Once fully operational, the facilities are expected to generate an annual revenue potential of approximately ₹2,000 crore while creating more than 1,000 direct employment opportunities across engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality assurance and research & development, it said.
