Titan Company reported a 114 per cent year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹2,393 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. However, the sharp increase in reported profitability partly reflected the impact of the change in gold customs duty during the quarter.
Profit before tax (PBT) rose 53 per cent year-on-year to ₹2,329 crore, with a margin of 11.3 per cent. Adjusting for the impact of the customs duty increase, PBT stood at approximately ₹1,793 crore, registering moderate growth of 18 per cent, with a margin of 8.7 per cent.
The company’s total income rose 14 per cent to ₹21,430 crore in Q2 FY27, up from ₹18,837 crore in the year-ago period. Higher contributions from its jewellery, watches and eyecare businesses supported growth, while a shift towards higher-margin diamond-studded jewellery helped improve profitability despite relatively slower growth in the overall jewellery business.
“Q2 FY27 was a quarter of healthy, broad-based growth for Titan, with our businesses registering a 25 per cent consolidated operating growth year-on-year. A strong base quarter and a notable shift in the festive calendar into Q3 notwithstanding, consumer demand held up well for most of the period,” Ajoy Chawla, Managing Director of Titan, said in a statement.
The jewellery division, Titan’s largest business, reported a 24 per cent revenue increase to ₹17,495 crore. Its India business grew 21 per cent to ₹16,343 crore, with the combined Tanishq, Mia and Zaya portfolio registering a 20 per cent growth to ₹14,935 crore. CaratLane reported a stronger 31 per cent increase in revenue to ₹1,408 crore.
The company added a net 42 jewellery stores in India during the quarter. Tanishq also expanded its international footprint by opening a new store in Los Angeles.
Titan’s international jewellery business grew 10 per cent to ₹1,152 crore. The combined Tanishq, Mia, and CaratLane portfolio recorded 41 per cent growth to ₹788 crore, while its core Damas business reported revenue of ₹364 crore.
The watches division reported total income of ₹1,881 crore, up 27 per cent year-on-year, supported by analogue watches, which grew in the early thirties, and a return to growth in smartwatches. The division added 34 net new stores during the quarter.
The eyecare business also delivered strong growth, with total income rising 28 per cent to ₹281 crore.
Meanwhile, Titan’s emerging businesses, including Irth and Taneira, reported a 21 per cent increase in total income to ₹171 crore, although the segment continued to remain loss-making, posting a loss of ₹6 crore.
