Omron India Automation is targeting to double its revenue by FY30 from FY25 levels.
The industrial automation business reported sales of ₹513.3 crore in FY25, which rose to ₹649.2 crore in FY26. The company said sales grew at a CAGR of around 20 per cent over the last three years.
Junta Tsujinaga, President and CEO of Omron Corporation, said India was moving from “Make in India” to “Innovate in India”, creating opportunities for the company to develop technologies that make factories safer and smarter, improve healthcare and contribute to sustainability.
“ Our ambition is very clear: to be India’s long-term partner in creating a better society for India and for the world,” he said.
Omron sees opportunities in India’s semiconductor, battery and electronic components industries, which Tsujinaga said were expected to grow around threefold, tenfold and more than fivefold, respectively. These industries require highly precise manufacturing and inspection technologies, areas in which the company believes it can leverage its expertise.
Omron began its industrial automation business in India in 1996 and entered the healthcare market in 2010. It opened a co-creation centre in Mumbai in 2014. The company has six offices across key manufacturing centres, including Gurugram, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Chennai, and works with more than 100 sales partners and over 100 application engineers nationwide.
Sameer Gandhi, Managing Director of Omron Automation India, said the company’s decision to treat India as a separate region, rather than as part of the broader Asia-Pacific region, reflected the market’s strategic importance to its future growth.
Omron’s industrial automation business serves sectors including FMCG, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, automotive, infrastructure and digital industries.
