Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata and his son Neville have filed a caveat in the city civil court in connection with the ongoing dispute with fellow trustees Venu Srinivasan and Vijay Singh.
The caveat was filed last week to ensure that the court hears them and does not pass any ex parte orders in case of a fresh complaint by Srinivasan and Singh.
The two trustees have filed complaints before the Charity Commissioner of Maharashtra alleging misgovernance in the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT). The duo have asked for a probe into trust affairs and have sought a direction to restrain Tata from voting in Tata Sons’ annual general meeting.
On October 5, the Charity Commissioner of Maharashtra wrote to SDTT seeking a response to the complaint. While the Trusts had seven days till October 12 to respond, it has now secured a seven-day extension to submit its response.
SDTT had earlier denied all assertions made by Srinivasan and Singh in their complaints.
