Drug maker Natco Pharma on Monday announced the launch of Carboplatin Injection in the US market through its subsidiary Natco Pharma USA LLC.
The product, a generic version of Paraplatin, has been launched in manufacturing collaboration with Chennai-based Teyro Labs Pvt Ltd, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The launch helps address a critical shortage of the product in the US market, Natco Pharma stated.
Carboplatin Injection is indicated for the treatment of advanced ovarian carcinoma, including first-line combination therapy and palliative treatment of recurrent disease after prior chemotherapy.
Citing industry sales data, the company said Carboplatin Injection registered estimated sales of USD 27.8 million in the US for the 12 months ending June 2026.
