Marico reported a 31 per cent increase in consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders to ₹550 crore in the second quarter of FY27 (July–September 2026), from ₹420 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26 (July–September 2025), as easing copra prices expanded margins, price reductions supported Parachute coconut oil volumes, foods and premium personal care businesses gained traction, and strong growth in Vietnam helped offset sluggish demand in Bangladesh. Consolidated revenue from operations rose 13 per cent to ₹3,897 crore from ₹3,450 crore.
“The strength of our first-half performance underscores Marico’s evolution into a more resilient and diversified business, with several growth engines and a proven ability to deliver strong growth across commodity cycles,” said Saugata Gupta, Managing Director and CEO.
On a standalone basis, net profit increased 71.6 per cent to ₹683 crore from ₹398 crore, while revenue from operations rose 8.4 per cent to ₹2,722 crore from ₹2,510 crore. Other income increased to ₹330 crore from ₹171 crore, contributing to profit growth.
Consolidated EBITDA increased 27 per cent to ₹709 crore from approximately ₹558 crore, its strongest growth in 50 quarters. Operating margins expanded 200 basis points to 18.2 per cent from 16.2 per cent.
Gross margins improved approximately 600 basis points, aided by a favourable product mix and copra prices around 35 per cent below their previous-year peak. Advertising and promotional expenditure rose 44 per cent to ₹451 crore from ₹313 crore.
For H1 FY27 (April–September 2026), consolidated revenue increased 18 per cent to ₹7,854 crore from ₹6,671 crore in H1 FY26 (April–September 2025), while EBITDA grew 26 per cent to ₹1,528 crore.
In Q2 FY27, Marico’s India business recorded 10 per cent underlying volume growth, with revenue increasing 10 per cent to ₹2,916 crore.
Parachute Rigids registered 13 per cent volume growth, its highest in 22 quarters, following price reductions undertaken earlier in FY27. Revenue increased by around 1 per cent, while the volume market share rose by more than 570 basis points to 60 per cent.
Value-added hair oils registered 21 per cent value growth. Saffola edible oils, however, recorded a high-single-digit volume decline despite revenue growing 6 per cent, as Marico rationalised lower-margin variants.
Marico’s foods portfolio grew 45 per cent in Q2 FY27, crossing an annualised revenue run rate of ₹1,500 crore. Saffola Oats, Muesli and Soya Chunks supported growth, while True Elements, 4700BC and Cosmix continued expanding.
Premium personal care, led by Beardo, Livon Serums and Parachute Advansed Protein Shampoo, crossed a ₹500-crore annualised revenue run rate. The digital-first portfolio reached approximately ₹1,150 crore.
“Robust momentum across the portfolio and several businesses reaching new highs, alongside multi-quarter high operating profit growth, reflect the strength of our franchise and execution,” Gupta said.
International operations registered 13 per cent constant-currency growth and 23 per cent rupee revenue growth in Q2 FY27. Vietnam grew 22 per cent, compared with 5 per cent in Bangladesh, where inflation and subdued consumption persisted.
For FY27 (April 2026–March 2027), Marico expects revenue to comfortably cross ₹15,000 crore, with revenue growth in the teens and EBITDA growth in the mid-twenties.
“With multiple growth engines firing and sustained investments behind our brands, people and capabilities, we are well positioned to sustain this momentum and build an even stronger Marico for the future,” Gupta said.
Under Vision 2030, the company aims to increase the contribution of foods and premium personal care, including digital-first businesses, to approximately 33 per cent of India revenue by FY30 (2029–30).
