Knack Packaging, a leading manufacturer of printed and laminated woven polypropylene specialised packaging solutions, reported a 25 per cent rise in net profit to ₹25 crore in the September quarter, up from ₹20 crore in the same period last year, driven by higher volume and better realisation.
Revenue surged 53 per cent to ₹295 crore (₹193 crore).
The packaging industry faced a surge in input costs due to global headwinds, with rising crude oil driving up polymer prices and Red Sea-linked freight costs impacting the entire industry.
The company has undertaken price revisions to pass on input costs, and the adjustments are expected to reflect in realisations from Q3 FY27 onwards, subject to market stabilisation, the company said.
Alpesh Tulsibhai Patel, Chairman and Managing Director, Knack Packaging, said the company’s growth was supported by business operations across domestic and international markets, backed by strong customer relationships.
During the quarter, EBITDA increased in absolute terms, while the EBITDA margin declined slightly YoY. This was primarily due to higher input costs, including crude oil-driven polymer price inflation and increased freight costs.
Going forward, he said the company will continue to strengthen manufacturing capabilities, expand customer relationships, and increase its presence across domestic and international markets.
The priorities will include investments in capacity, growth, innovation and sustainability, supported by an emphasis on operational efficiency and disciplined growth, he added.
