HDFC Bank shares edged up marginally on Tuesday, trading at ₹688.70 on the NSE by 10.10 am, a gain of 0.09 per cent over Monday’s close of ₹688.05. Buy orders narrowly led at 50.76 per cent against 49.24 per cent sell orders, with traded volume at 65.10 lakh shares worth ₹447.83 crore a calmer session compared to Monday’s heavier selling.
The mild recovery coincides with a formal regulatory disclosure filed by the bank with BSE and NSE on Tuesday morning. The filing confirmed that Sashidhar Jagdishan vacated the office of MD & CEO at close of business on October 26, 2026, upon completion of his tenure. Anup Bagchi assumed charge as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer effective October 27, 2026.

The stock remains under significant pressure, down 30.45 per cent year-to-date against the Nifty 50’s 12.86 per cent decline. The P/E ratio stands at 13.25. The 52-week low of ₹681.90, recorded on September 11, 2026, remains within striking distance, leaving the stock’s near-term trajectory closely tied to Bagchi’s early signals as the bank’s new chief.
