Murugappa Group company Carborundum Universal reported a positive set of results for the quarter ended June 2026 (Q1FY27). Consolidated net profit (after tax and non-controlling interest) was ₹76 crore, a 23 per cent growth, compared to ₹62 crore in Q1FY26. In the quarter, consolidated sales stood at ₹1,411 crore, growing by around 17 per cent compared to sales of ₹1,207 crore in Q1FY26.
On a standalone basis, PAT was ₹88 crore compared to ₹77 crore in Q1FY26, excluding the one-time dividend of ₹68 crore received from a subsidiary in Q1FY26. The abrasives segment grew 20.1 per cent y-o-y to hit ₹610 crore. Ceramics and Electrominerals segments grew by 16.5 per cent and 16.8 per cent, respectively, compared to Q1FY26.
The shares of Carborundum closed at ₹1098.00 per share, up around 2.70 per cent, on Friday.
