However, it is too early to call it a blockbuster, as its box office trajectory in the coming days will decide that. Meanwhile, speculation is growing that Buchi Babu may narrate a story to Mahesh Babu, but will the project take off?
Buchi Babu is a two-film-old director with extensive experience in filmmaking as Sukumar’s associate. Buchi also showcased his skill in handling the pan-India actors along with managing a film on a huge scale.
There is no doubt on Buchi’s capabilities about handling stars. Now, the question is whether Buchi’s story is relevant to Mahesh’s career trajectory, as calculations may change drastically after the release of Varanasi.
Although Peddi received a blockbuster talk at the box office, the director still faced criticism for portraying Jahnvi Kapoor on the screen. Buchi realized the reality and issued an apology.
Even then, the families are not entirely inclined towards the film, which is a put-off since Mahesh’s films always garner huge family crowds, and the actor has always maintained to be non-controversial when it comes to how female leads are showcased in his movies.
Having said that, Buchi also indirectly hinted that the story work is happening and did not confirm if he had narrated the story or if it was in his plans to do so. But one thing is clear: he is brewing something for Mahesh, which may take off if it satisfies Mahesh’s expectations.
