Café chain Barista Coffee has expanded its retail footprint by opening its 555th café in Kolkata’s Salt Lake, its seventh in the city.
The new outlet introduces a hybrid café format that combines diverse food and beverage options with spaces designed for work, meetings, and collaboration, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
“The café brings together scrumptious signature beverages, fresh food offerings, and a flexible environment for customers seeking an experience beyond a conventional café,” it said.
The new café offers an extensive range of beverages, including drinks, protein coffee, matcha and bubble tea, alongside a food menu featuring gourmet sandwiches, pizzas, pasta, rolls and English breakfast options. The offering caters to varied consumer preferences, from quick coffee breaks and casual meals to visits for work and socialising.
The café offers a space for work-from-home professionals seeking an alternative workspace, and groups looking to meet up over collaborative sessions or casual conversations. This concept reflects how cafés are evolving into spaces that bring together food, work and community.
Commenting on the milestone, Rajat Agrawal, CEO of Barista Coffee, said, “Reaching the milestone of 555 cafés is a proud moment for Barista Coffee and a testament to the trust our customers have placed in us, the dedication of our teams, and the commitment of our partners. Every café represents our promise to deliver memorable coffee experiences, meaningful connections, and warm hospitality.”
Agrawal said that as the company continues to expand its presence, it will focus on strengthening the brand, innovating its offerings, and making Barista a preferred destination for coffee lovers across India and beyond. “This milestone is not just a celebration of how far we have come, but also a reflection of our ambition to reach new markets, create more opportunities, and bring people together over great coffee,” he added.
