Bajaj Auto on Tuesday reported a 35 per cent jump in standalone profit after tax to ₹3,354 crore in the three months to September compared to the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.
The company had posted a standalone profit after tax of ₹2,480 crore in the July-September period of FY 26.
Revenue from operations for the quarter under review stood at ₹20,003 crore, up 34 per cent year-on-year from ₹14,922 crore in the September quarter last year.
EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) climbed 37 per cent to ₹4,172 crore in Q2 FY27 against ₹3,052 crore in the same quarter of FY26, the company said in a statement. EBITDA Margin rose 40 basis points to 20.9 per cent in Q2 FY27 against 20.5 per cent in the second quarter of the year earlier, the company said.
EBITDA margins rose despite another quarter of volatility and hyper-inflation; underscoring the disciplined and dynamic P&L management, as currency tailwind, operating leverage and cost control made up for the partial recovery of input inflation through pricing, Bajaj Auto said.
Domestic business posted record quarterly revenues, registering a robust 30 per cent YoY growth on a solid show from both two- and three-wheelers. While ICE maintained steady growth, the electric portfolio spearheaded the growth, closing at a record around 200k units against 82k in the same quarter last year despite a significantly constrained supply situation, and now constituting one-third of domestic revenues, the company said.
Exports set the pace with another landmark quarter (up 40%+ YoY), raising the bar on volumes despite intermittent logistical disruptions, it said, adding Africa nearly doubled its billing over the base quarter to reach a new high surpassing its FY21 quarterly peak.
On the other hand, the Latin American market sustained its strong momentum to register its best-ever sales, it said.
Domestic motorcycles continued to strengthen its performance, with double-digit sports segment growth and a broader portfolio refresh, Bajaj Auto said.
