Navya has now opened up about having a privileged background, her vodcast and also shared her thoughts on being a celebrity and career in Bollywood.

In conversation with ETimes, was asked about her statement about getting a lot of opportunities owing to her privileged background. Well, Navya is the granddaughter of and . She is the niece of and and her father Nikhil Nanda has his own business and her mom, , is a former model and is an Indian columnist and author. The young entrepreneur says that one has to acknowledge it and respect it. She feels people often tend to brush it under the carpet. She says it is important to acknowledge the privilege because it allows them to do certain things in life. She is grateful for the same and expresses that it motivates her to make the most of everything as not everyone has that opportunity. She adds that she is not just using the privilege for herself but for others too.

Shweta’s daughter was asked difficulties about staying real in a world where people, especially celebrities project a certain image on social media. She says that she is not a celebrity and has to do a lot to achieve that tag. She doesn’t feel that being real is a challenge. Navya was asked if she ever had any acting aspirations to which she said, “No, Never!” She emphasizes that whatever content she creates is around her profession. Navya feels the podcast and her work is her voice, a way to express herself and stand up for what she believes in.
