Dhoot Transmission Limited reported a 61 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated revenue to ₹1,827.2 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, driven by strong two-wheeler demand and a near-doubling of its electric vehicle business.
EV and electronics products accounted for 31 per cent of Q2 revenue, up from 24 per cent in FY26, with EV revenue reaching ₹570.1 crore, a 108 per cent increase over the same quarter last year. The company attributed the jump partly to the full-quarter consolidation of Multilink, an electronics firm it acquired earlier this year for ₹421.2 crore.
Reported EBITDA rose 31 per cent to ₹261.8 crore, though the margin narrowed by 330 basis points to 14.3 per cent, weighed down by higher copper and PVC costs, increased manpower expenses including ESOP charges, and Multilink’s lower margin profile. Adjusted PAT grew 30 per cent to ₹161.5 crore after stripping out one-off charges of ₹45 crore in management fees and ₹9.7 crore in IPO-related expenses.
For the first half of FY27, revenue stood at ₹3,273.6 crore, already 72 per cent of full-year FY26 revenue, with H1 adjusted PAT at ₹296.4 crore, up 33 per cent year-on-year.
The company’s net cash position strengthened sharply to ₹903.7 crore at end-September 2026, from ₹254.5 crore in March, following receipt of ₹1,400 crore in IPO proceeds. Borrowings were reduced by ₹617.4 crore during the half-year. Annualised return on net assets improved to 34 per cent from 30 per cent in March.
Dhoot has 29 manufacturing sites across three countries and is adding capacity in Pune, Chennai, Jhajjar and Hosur through FY28. The company also announced a 67:33 joint venture with Israeli firm Ride Vision to localise ADAS and rider-alert systems, a segment where roughly 90 per cent of supply is currently imported.
