Route Mobile Limited reported a 7.4 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated revenue to ₹23,312 million for the first half of FY2026-27, yet declining profitability sent its shares down 4.21 per cent to ₹429.40 on the NSE on Wednesday, touching near their 52-week low of ₹407.10 hit just two days earlier.
The Mumbai-based cloud communications platform declared an interim dividend of ₹4 per share. Earnings per share for H1 FY26-27 stood at ₹22.57, with cash on books of ₹13,556 million as of September 30, 2026.
Profitability, however, came under pressure. Adjusted EBITDA fell 8.6 per cent year-on-year to ₹2,274 million, with margins compressing to 9.8 per cent from 11.5 per cent a year ago. Adjusted PAT slipped 5 per cent to ₹1,511 million. The company attributed the margin decline to higher salary costs and increased legal and professional fee expenditure. On a sequential basis, Q2 FY26-27 showed improvement — revenue rose 2.4 per cent quarter-on-quarter to ₹11,797 million, and adjusted EBITDA climbed 8.7 per cent.
Gross profit margin recovered to 22.4 per cent in Q2, up from 20.9 per cent in Q1, driven by an enhanced routing strategy and growing revenue from newer products, which surged 36.7 per cent year-on-year to ₹1,284 million in Q2.
On the business development front, Route Mobile completed the acquisition of Heltar Technologies’ AI-driven customer engagement business in July 2026 for ₹33.7 crore, adding no-code conversational AI capabilities to its CPaaS stack. It also launched a Salesforce-native messaging application in August 2026.
The stock has now lost over 41 per cent in the past year and nearly 39 per cent year-to-date, sharply underperforming the Nifty Total Market index. Total market capitalisation stood at approximately ₹2,706 crore at Wednesday’s session price.
