Tata Trusts has filed its response with the Charity Commissioner of Maharashtra (CCM) on complaints made by fellow trustees Vijay Singh and Venu Srinivasan.
In its response filed on Monday Tata Trusts has denied all assertions made in the complaints, including those of misgovernance.
The two trustees had filed separate complaints with CCM in September-end calling for an inquiry into the administration of Trusts. They also asked the commissioner to restrict Tata Trusts chairman Noel Tata from voting in the Tata Sons annual general meeting.
Originally, the CCM had given Tata Trusts time till October 12 to file its response and same was extended to October 19 on its plea.

Srinivasan’s complaint stems from the issues surrounding the Tata Sons board meeting of September 17 in which members voted 4:1 to reappoint Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran for a third term starting February 2027.
The board also resolved to initiate steps to comply with the applicable RBI Guidelines concerning non-banking finance company upper layer category. Compliance would require Tata Sons to list its shares. However, Trusts Chairman Noel Tata is opposed to listing.
Srinivasan has said the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust tried to prevent him from participating and voting on the issue of listing of Tata Sons.
Srinivasan has described this action as an attempt to effect a power grab within SDTT and, through it, to dictate what Tata Sons should do instead of allowing its board to objectively evaluate the available alternatives on their merits.
