Sweet Karam Coffee, a clean-food brand that offers South Indian snacks, is seeing strong traction in non-traditional markets, with the Chennai-based brand posting double-digit month-on-month growth in Mumbai.
The company said in a media release that the city of dreams has seen particularly strong demand for products such as Andhra Spicy Murukku and Ghee Mysore Pak. Quick commerce currently contributes approximately 20 per cent of the brand’s Mumbai sales.
As it strengthens its Mumbai growth strategy, the company has also announced a new campaign featuring the city’s iconic dabbawalas.
“Mumbai has shown us that food rooted in one part of India can find love and belonging far beyond its place of origin. The dabbawalas have carried that feeling across the city for generations, and we felt there was a natural connection between their story and our ambition to make traditional Indian food relevant to contemporary consumers,” said Anand Bharadhwaj, Co-founder, Sweet Karam Coffee.
