Manipal Health Enterprises is deepening its Bengaluru footprint with a ₹130-crore bet on Whitefield by signing a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) with Kindorama Healthcare to acquire the entire operations and assets of Kinder Women’s Hospital in Doddanekundi.
The cash transaction, which does not involve an acquisition of shares, will add 100 beds to Manipal Hospitals’ network. Commissioned in 2022, Kinder Hospital will strengthen Manipal’s presence in the fast-growing Whitefield micro-market, where it already operates larger hospitals and has established a strong healthcare presence.

The transaction is expected to be completed within 90 days, subject to necessary statutory and customary approvals, primarily relating to the change of ownership of Kinder Hospital, as well as fulfilment of the conditions precedent under the BTA. Manipal Health Enterprises has more than 13,000 licensed and operational beds across 49 hospitals in India, with the addition of Kinder Hospital taking its licensed capacity to over 13,500 beds.
