Hero Future Energies on Tuesday said it has secured a 120 MW project under the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s 1,000 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy – Round-the-Clock (FDRE-RTC) auction.
The project was awarded at a tariff of ₹5.25/kWh, a company statement said.
The project will be developed under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), and is expected to achieve commissioning within 24 months of PPA execution.
The project, to be developed through Hero Solar Energy, will be integrated with an energy storage system in accordance with the requirements of SECI’s FDRE-RTC tender.
The auction, floated by SECI in March 2026, was conducted to procure 1,000 MW of FDRE-RTC power from Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected renewable energy projects integrated with energy storage systems.
The 120 MW project will deliver firm, round-the-clock renewable power, demonstrating that clean energy can reliably meet base load demand while offering a highly competitive tariff.
The project builds on Hero Future Energies’ experience of working with SECI reflecting its continued participation in India’s evolving renewable energy landscape.
