Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is the longest running show on television. It has been running since 2009 and continues to be amongst the top five shows on the TRP charts. The show has received massive love and appreciation from the audience and each generation story has been captivating. The first generation had Hina Khan and Karan Mehra as the lead actors. Later, Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi took over the legacy. In the third generation we had Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod as the lead pair. They played Abhimanyu and Akshara in the show.
Currently, Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit are the main jodi in the show. All these pairs have got love from the audience. In 2023, when the show took a generation leap, fans were disappointed as they wanted to see more of Abhimanyu and Akshara’s story. The story had a sad ending and fans wanted to see more of Harshad-Pranali.
The story seemed incomplete to the audience and post that, there were reports that there were issues between Rajan Shahi and Harshad. It was being reported that they did not get along well and hence, the story of Abhimanyu and Akshara was ended so soon.
Now, producer Rajan Shahi has opened up about working with in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. He said that Harshad is a very professional and dedicated actor. He said that is brilliant to work with and they even met recently at ITA awards.
Rajan Shahi also shared that he did have creative differences with Harshad but he always admires that Harshad is professional. He also said that the actor was never late even for a minute and is very passionate. He further said that Harshad is actually ‘over passionate’ and that sometimes creates issues because there has to be breathing space for others.
He also said that he never discusses the issues he had with his actors in his family and hence, his daughter, Ishika is very good friends with Harshad and Pranali. She is friends with Hina Khan as well.
On the work front, Harshad will next be seen in Baaharein with Shivangi Joshi. Pranali Rathod is now playing the lead role in Ekta Kapoor’s Kumkum Bhagya.
