Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is in the news for multiple reasons. The show – which began in 2009 – has been on air for 16 years, yet its popularity and impact continues to grow. Currently, the show features Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit as the protagonists. The show has introduced several adorable jodis, each of whom have been successful in winning the viewers’hearts. Fans often found themselves emotional – when the storyline came to an end. This had put forth the connection they formed with the characters. The journey kicked off with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra as Akshara and Naitik, whose eight-year-long love story has become iconic. Following them, Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan brought the characters of Kartik and Naira to offered another memorable love story.

The third generation had and as the leads. They played Abhimanyu and Akshara in the show. However, this story was a tad short, and ended in a year which left the fans disappointed. People loved Harshad and Pranali’s chemistry in the serial and wanted to see more of them.

Since their story ended soon, there were rumours that producer Rajan Shahi had issues with Harshad. This became a hot topic story in and . Later, the producer even confirmed they did have creative differences. Rajan Shahi has spoken many times about many actors troubling him on the sets.

He recently spoke to Siddharth Kannan and was asked about Harshad and Pranali. He said that Harshad is too intense as a performer and that is a beauty, but daily soap require a broader range of emotions. He added that the actor completely gets into the character and he is a great guy.

Rajan Shahi further revealed that when they did Harshad’s mock shoot first, he asked the actor to immediately sign the show. He also shared that Harshad wanted to work with Rajan Shahi since the time Bidaai came on air. The producer shared that Harshad had told him that he has done many shows but wanted to do a number 1 show.

Rajan Shahi went on to mention that, unfortunately, during Harshad and Pranali’s time on the show, it never managed to secure the top spot on the TRP charts. However, he proudly noted that the show recently reached number one with Samridhii and Rohit in the lead. He also praised Harshad, calling him one of the best and recalling how much he enjoyed working with him on set. Rajan fondly shared that Harshad often ordered food for the entire unit.

When it came to Pranali, Rajan emphasized that he had never had any issues with her. He commended her for doing her work with dedication and without causing any trouble. Similarly, he added that Harshad, too, was never a problem on set, always maintaining professionalism.
