In a shocking update, reports have been doing the rounds that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja are reportedly headed for a divorce. The couple has been married for 37 years and has two children—Tina and Yashvardhan Ahuja.
For the past few months, Govinda has been in the news for his gun incident and Sunita Ahuja has been grabbing headlines for her candid interviews. While there is no official confirmtation by the couple that they are getting a divorce, there have been whispers of the duo allegedly living separately together for a long time.
The couple has made public appearances together many times and opened up about their married life. Years ago, on The Kapil Sharma Show, the comedian-host got in a candid conversation with them. Kapil asked the Coolie No. 1 actor about his married life with Sunita. Govinda said, “Wo jo haath pakad liya uske baad fir haath, haath mein hi reh gaya. Aaj 29-30 saal ho gaye.”
Further, Kapil asked Sunita if her actor husband made any effort to impress her. To this, Sunita answered, “Sab mujhe hi karna pada. Mere saath toh aise hi hai, pata nahi abhi baaki.” Sharma shared how the duo didn’t tell the public that they were married for four years. When Kapil asked Sunita how she felt when the actor’s female fans would try to get close to him.
Sunita Ahuja responded, “Hero hai na, 2-4 ladki agar na gire toh kya faayda. Inhone 2-4 affair na kiye toh kya faayda. Tab jaake toh hero hero lagta hai.”
