Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, part of Wipro Enterprises, is targeting revenue of ₹20,000 crore by FY30, as it steps up investments in household products and expands through acquisitions.
The company’s organic revenue rose 16.9% year-on-year to about ₹6,094 crore in the first half of FY27, compared with ₹5,213 crore in the year-ago period, Kumar Chander, CEO of Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting and MD of Wipro Enterprises, said. Including ₹110 crore from acquisitions, H1 revenue stood at about ₹6,204 crore.
Wipro Consumer Care completed three acquisitions this year: Philippines-based S Brands in July, TTK Healthcare’s Eva and Good Home brands, and skincare brand Dermatouch in August. The acquired businesses have an annualised revenue base of about ₹1,100 crore. Their contribution to H1 revenue was limited by the timing of consolidation, with Dermatouch’s revenue beginning to accrue from October 1.
The company expects a larger contribution from the acquisitions in H2 as more of their revenues are consolidated.
Alongside acquisitions, Wipro is looking to increase the share of household products in its FMCG portfolio. Foods currently account for about 2% of the portfolio, household products around 12%, and personal care makes up the bulk. The company expects household products’ share to cross 20% over the next three years.
“We will double down to expand our household business because consumers are trying to spend more money in their houses,” Chander said.
The growth push comes amid a broader recovery in consumption. India’s underlying volume growth has reached 9.6%, a level the company had not seen in four to five years, he said.
Across its FMCG markets, India recorded 17.2% growth in H1, while Indonesia grew 30.5%, Vietnam 22%, the Philippines around 9% and South Africa 11%. Growth picked up in the second quarter in the Philippines and South Africa, reaching 10% and 20%, respectively, Chander said.
South Africa has been a particularly strong performer since Wipro acquired the business in 2020, with its size tripling since the acquisition. The company had seen slower growth in several other international markets before the recent improvement.
