Why Samantha Rejected Crores Worth of Ads

One of the country’s top actresses, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, revealed that she rejected around 15 brand endorsements last year, losing crores of money, only because she wanted to make informed decisions that would have a positive impact on the lives of others.

Speaking in a recent interview with the Foodpharmer, when she entered the film industry in her early 20s, the symbol of success was based on the number of projects she had in hand and several brands that had her as an ambassador. She revealed that she was happy as many multinational brands wanted her as their brand ambassador.

She went on to say, “But today, I realise that I couldn’t be more wrong. I was almost forced to introspect on my choices, and I knew I had to follow what feels right.” She said that her younger self should apologise to her older self for all the things she did in the past. She also appealed to her younger followers not to think that they are invincible in their 20s and added that she learned that the hard way. Samantha stated that before signing any brand endorsement these days, she does careful research of those brands with three doctors before deciding to endorse them.

Samantha was last seen in Amazon Prime Video’s web series Citadel: Honey Bunny. She has a few interesting projects in her lineup.
