Nani is actively promoting his forthcoming crime thriller, HIT: The Third Case, which is releasing on May 1st. During his recent interview, Nani revealed interesting details about a WhatsApp group that he was part of along with Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Rana, and 141 actors from Telugu and other film industries.

Nani said that the WhatsApp group is now inactive and that he had kept it on mute long ago. “They would spam with 62 messages,” he quipped. He added that the group was more like any normal friends group, where the actors would share jokes and stuff and also support each other’s films. “I don’t think the group exists anymore, as a lot of people changed their number, or maybe it does, but I’m not part of the group anymore,” he added.

Nani further revealed that the said WhatsApp group was quite active almost a decade ago. “We created the group to be in touch with each other. We used to share each other’s movie trailers, post it on our social media, and share our comments on the group. The group is not active now,” he said. Revealing why he kept the group notifications on mute, Nani said many members used to spam the group with random stuff and it was a distraction. “We also have to work, isn’t it,” the Arjun Sarkar said.

Last year, actor-filmmaker Manchu Lakshmi opened up about the same group. She said actors used to share their trailers in the group, and everyone would share them on their social media and give a shoutout. Lakshmi revealed that the group was created to foster friendship and clear off animosity among the actors.
