Kangana Ranaut is all geared up for the release of her political drama Emergency. The actress will be making her directorial debut with the film. The audience is looking forward to seeing her portrayal of former Prime Minister Indiria Gandhi. In the past few years, we have seen Kangana in movies that send out messages or portray promiment historical figures. There was a time when she also entertained the audience with some romantic and feel-good movies like Queen, Tanu Weds Manu, No Problem, Simran, Judgemental Hai Kya, and Katti Batti, amongst others.
In an exclusive interview with BollywoodLIFE’s Pooja Darade, opened up about not doing such movies anymore. We asked the actress if she misses such simple, feel-good roles, and the actress said ‘No’. Kangana answered, “What happens is, there is an age and stage for everything. One must not just get old; one must grow also. There is a time when I looked good doing fashion or I did queen when a girl goes for her honeymoon on her own. Now, when I have grown as an individual person, where a girl child sees me and associates me with empowerment, it is also my responsibility to just put myself out there in that capacity as well. There is nothing bad in it, I feel. But would you like to still see me exploring myself as a 38-year-old? is also questionable. Because by now, I should be done with exploring myself.”
Further in this entertainment news, the Emergency star added, “So, there’s a time, age, and space for everything. One should be complementing and accepting every time and every responsibility with grace.”
Meanwhile, Emergency also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, and Mahima Chaudhry in pivotal roles. It will hit theatres on January 17, 2025.
