Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj slated to hit the screens on January 12, 2025. The action drama is directed by Bobby Kolli, with Urvashi Rautela playing the female lead. With less than two weeks to go before the release, the makers have not released much promotional material, and the first two songs released so far have garnered decent talk.
Today, a mass song titled Dabidi Dibidi was released amid much hype, but it has failed to live up to expectations. Thaman has used all the mass phrases and dialogues from Balayya films, but the tune itself feels rather ordinary.
Vagdevi has sung the song, and her vocals are good, but the typical peppy feel found in Balayya film songs is missing here. The visuals are grand, with some funky dance moves from the lead pair, but the sound of Dabidi Dibidi is just about average.
The response to this song on social media has also been lukewarm, as it has not generated the viral buzz typically associated with mass numbers. One may need to listen to it multiple times to get a hang of it. It’s possible that the song’s placement at a crucial point in the film could evoke some interest. But as of now, Thaman has delivered an ordinary track.
