lost his cool after a fan breached his privacy while he was preparing to return to Australia from New Delhi airport following the one-week suspension of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Starc represented Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2025 and picked up 14 wickets from 11 matches at an average of 26.14. He returned home last week after the IPL was suspended on May 9 amid the cross-border tension between India and Pakistan.
In the viral video, Starc could be seen loading his luggage into the trolley. The fan began to shoot a vlog, and this irked the legendary Australian seamer. He shouted at the fan to ‘go away’.
The video has been watched and rewatched several times on the internet. While some have lashed out at the fan for annoying the speedster, others felt that Starc was a bit rude to him.

Mitchell Starc decides against returning for remainder of IPL 2025
Starc’s return to play the remainder of IPL 2025 was doubtful. On Friday, May 16, the 35-year-old has decided not to return, leaving DC in a spot of bother. Starc’s compatriot Jake Fraser-McGurk, who was also playing for DC, will not be returning as well. The opening batter has been replaced by Mustafizur Rahman. However, the Bangladesh pacer is set to play a T20I series against the UAE, starting on May 17. There is no confirmation regarding when he will be joining the Axar Patel-led side.
The Capitals are currently positioned at No. 5 on the points table. They have won six matches and lost four. One of their games ended without a result. Delhi will resume their campaign on Sunday, May 18, against table-toppers Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. A win on Sunday will give the Capitals some much-needed momentum. Their last win came on April 22 against Lucknow Super Giants.
