Ahead of Delhi Capitals’ clash against SunRisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025, DC’s star wicketkeeper-batter took time out from his training schedule to meet Telangana MLA Kaushik Reddy and his daughter, Shrinika. The meeting took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, where the two teams are set to face off on Monday, May 5.
Rahul was seen donning DC’s training kit as he interacted with the MLA and his daughter. The cricketer signed a t-shirt for Shrinika and clicked a selfie with the father-daughter duo before posing for another photograph. Kaushik Reddy later posted a video of their interaction on social media, captioning it, “Had a great time with KL Rahul. I absolutely loved his outfit colour. Pink perfect,” he wrote.

Notably, Rahul is currently DC’s leading run-scorer this season with 371 runs from nine innings at an average of 53 and a strike rate of 146.06, including three fifties. In the previous game against Kolkata Knight Riders, he was run out cheaply, scoring just seven. With DC consisting of 12 points from 10 games and eyeing a playoff spot, the responsibility is now on the veteran batter to make his bat do the talking.
Delhi, currently placed fifth on the table, began their season with four straight wins but have had some rough recent weeks, losing three of their last four matches. Their away record, however, has been more decent, winning three out of four. Meanwhile, SRH are struggling in ninth position with just three wins in ten matches. While mathematically still in the race, they are largely playing for pride and to spoil other teams’ chances.
