Following the news about Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan allegedly assaulting his manager Vipin, the actor on Tuesday came up with a statement on Instagram condemning the news as baseless. He claimed that he had never been involved in a physical scuffle with Vipin.
Earlier during the day, reports surfaced in the media claiming that the actor had abused Vipin physically and verbally. A complaint was also filed against the actor in Kochi after the manager received treatment at a hospital for wounds.
However, Mukundan mentioned in a social media post that all the allegations made by Vipin were baseless. He further appealed to the media outlets to verify the same before arriving at a conclusion. His meeting with Vipin was recorded in CC cameras as proof, said the actor, adding that Vipin was never his personal manager.
Another serious allegation that Mukundan made against Vipin was that the latter would meet female actors from Malayalam seeking them to marry Mukundan. “He even went to the extent of contacting a female actress asking her to marry me, which had led to a major altercation between me and him,” the actor said.
Vipin first met Mukundan when the latter was planning to produce a film under his home banner in 2018. Introducing himself as a film publicist of reputed celebrities in the Malayalam industry, Vipin got into a brawl with Mukundan when he was not given due credit for the film. “I’ve always maintained a professional relationship with my colleagues but this person is extremely poisonous,” reads Mukundan’s post.
Mukundan alleged that Vipin started gossiping about him in the industry to tarnish his image. And the loose talk about him in the industry has taken a heavy toll on him. “I strongly believe some people who are not happy with my personal and professional life are helping this man to ruin my career. I have built this career through sheer hard work and perseverance. I believe in truth though I may be subjected to all sorts of victimization and harassment,” the actor concluded.
