Tridha Choudhury, who entered Telugu cinema with the 2015 film Surya vs Surya, has worked across languages but hasn’t quite landed that one breakout role yet.
Now she’s in the spotlight again, this time on the cover of The Door magazine, wearing a striking purple flower petal top with matching pants and accessories.
In the feature, Tridha didn’t hold back. She spoke about how her first film experience wasn’t as smooth as she’d expected. “It tested my patience and made it clear this job wasn’t going to be easy. Some of my co-actors weren’t supportive. I was new and still figuring out camera angles and lighting.”
She shared how things went beyond cold shoulders. “I was ambushed, given wrong information as pranks, and my lines were swapped. They wanted to see if I’d crack under pressure,” she said. “But I’m not someone who breaks easily. I focused on doing my work right. That’s what matters.”
Though she didn’t name the film, many believe she was talking about her Bengali debut Mishawr Rawhoshyo. She later acted in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu films. Maybe this year will finally give her the moment she’s been chasing.
