2024 is coming to an end and we are just a few days away from the New Year. This was a fruitful year for Indian cinema as many films from various languages. It was Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 which emerged as the biggest hit of this year by earning more than Rs. 1705 crore at the box office.
Rebel Star Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD is in the second position with lifetime collections of Rs. 1200 crores. Raj Kumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s horror-comedy Stree 2 is in third place with earnings of Rs. 874.58 crore. Jr NTR’s Devara and Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT are in fourth and fifth positions with Rs. 521 crore and Rs. 456 crore collections respectively.
The list was followed by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (Rs. 417.51 crore), Singham Again (Rs. 389.64 crore), Fighter (Rs. 344.46 crore) and Amaran (Rs. 335 crore). Teja Sajja’s Hanu-Man is in the 10th position with collections of over Rs. 350 crore. Notably, four out of the top 10 grossers are Telugu movies. There are also four Hindi movies on the list and two Tamil films.
With the likes of pan-India films like Kantara, War 2, Game Changer, Coolie and Thug Life lined up for release in 2025, we can expect more fireworks at the box office.
