The ongoing India’s Got Latent controversy made the headlines for days and put and others under scrutiny for the comments they passed on the show. Ranveer, in particular, received massive backlash on social media for his ‘sex and parents’ remark. Within minutes, videos went viral and multiple FIRs were lodged against the comedians. Samay Raina issued a statement on social media and shared that he removed India’s Got Latent videos from his channel. However, his friend has shared an update on him.
YouTuber in a recent video revealed that is quite shaken with the whole controversy. The video has now been deleted by Shwetabh but as reported by Free Press Journal, he revealed that Samay is quite ‘scared and depressed’. He revealed about the conversation and mentioned that he could only see a ‘broken man’. “Bhaisahab, toota hua hai vo insaan (He is a broken man). When the controversy first erupted, I could still see the old Samay in him, but when I spoke to him last time, I saw a broken man… depressed, sad, scared,” he said in the video. Shwetabh reportedly further added that he took a break from social media as he was ’emotionally drained. I couldn’t see my friend like that.’ He mentioned that other comedians like Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Mukhija too are going through a tough time.
Recently, Ashish Chanchlani shared a video from the first time on social media post the India’s Got Latent controversy. He was also a part of the episode in which Ranveer made the viral remark. In the video, Ashish shared with his fans that he will fight through the tough time and learn something out of it.
Ranveer Allahbadia too has kept distance from social media. He had earlier shared an apology video with fans. He then also made a post stating that he will cooperate with the officials in the FIRs lodged against him.
