Madhuri played the role of Vinod Khanna’s wife in the film and their on-screen chemistry raised the temperature soaring. One of the most famous sequences in the film was the filming of the song Aaj Phir Tum Pe Pyaar Aaya Hai. During the shoot, Vinod had to kiss Madhuri, and if reports are to be believed the 42-year-old actor did not stop kissing her and left her lip bleeding. Well, people on the sets recalled that the young actress and she could not stop crying. Later, the director Feroz Khan and actor Vinod Khanna apologized to Madhuri and also paid her a huge amount for filming the kissing scene.
After the film was released on the big screens, it was surrounded by controversy about the kissing scene. As per reports, a notice was sent to Feroz Khan to remove that scene and he refused to do the same. Madhuri also requested him to remove the kissing scene with Vinod Khanna and reportedly he paid her Rs 1 crore.
After this film, Vinod Khanna and Madhuri never worked together. Well, Vinod Khanna’s career witnessed a downfall after the early 90s and Madhuri gained immense fame. She was seen in films like Tezaab, Dil, Beta, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun.
