Not many know that Bollywood actress was in a relationship with Indian cricketer for a long time. The two did not end up getting married due to THIS reason. She alleged that the cricketer had one condition which came as a shock for her and she did not agree to it. The two decided to end their relationship later.

In November 1986, Ravi who was a rising captain in the Indian cricket team and Amrita the emerging star in Bollywood had crossed paths during a photoshoot for Cine Blitz magazine cover. There were rumours which stated that their budding romance started since then and there was speculation of a secret proposal by Ravi to Amrita in a New York restaurant. Their courtship appeared beautiful, but their bond ended soon. As per reports, the two wanted to take the next step in their relationship. Reportedly Ravi imposed a condition on Amrita and wanted her not to pursue acting post-marriage. This condition did not go well with Amrita and she got distressed. Ravi tried his level best to reconcile with Amrita, but his efforts went in vain.

Amrita decided to end her relationship and tied the knot in 1991 with actor Saif Ali Khan, who was 12 years her junior. The two are parents to daughter Sara and son Ibrahim. Their marriage was short-lived and they parted ways in 2004.

Ravi also moved on in his life and tied the knot with his childhood friend, Ritu Singh. The two are parents to a daughter, Aleka Shastri. Ravi and Ritu parted ways in 2012 after being together for 22 years.
