Taking to her Facebook account, actress made accusations of sexual harassment against M Mukesh, Jayasurya and others. As per the reports, she stated that she was physically and verbally accused on the sets of a film in the year 2013. The post vent viral on
Later in an interview with NDTV, she narrated the incident. She shared her bitter experience and revealed that when she came out of the toiler, Jayasurya hugged her from behind. Not only that, she claimed that he forcibly kissed her without her consent. She was shocked and she ran out. Talking about Idavela Babu, she stated that she wanted to apply for the membership of Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). He was the secretary. On the pretense of applying for the membership and getting her to fill the form, he called her home and physically abused her. Accusing actor Mukesh, she claimed that he denied her membership as she rejected his advances.
Minu Muneer then moved to Chennai. In the post she wrote that she was forced to leave Malayalam film industry and relocate. She also mentioned, “I am now seeking justice and accountability for the trauma and suffering I endured. I request your assistance in taking action against them for their heinous actions.”
Meanwhile, Malayalam director Ranjith has resigned from his post of Chairperson from Kerala Chalachitra Academy. Actor Siddique who was the General Secretory at Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) has also tendered his resignation after sexual misconduct allegations against him.
