Additionally, focusing solely on when to eat rather than what to eat can lead to an unhealthy obsession with food. “Pregnancy demands significant nutritional changes to support both mother and baby. Intermittent fasting can be particularly harmful during this crucial period. Your body requires a consistent nutrient supply to fuel your baby’s growth and development,” notes Malhotra.
