Earlier, there used to be a “sequel” curse in the Telugu film industry, as many sequels failed to become box-office successes like their respective predecessors. However, the trend changed from Baahubali 2. Since then, most of the sequels have worked well at the box office. Now, after tasting success with sequels, the makers decided to come up with third parts as well. Here is a look at such films which will arrive with their third parts in the future.
Pushpa 3:
While Pushpa: The Rise became a pan-India hit, its sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, became the highest domestic grosser in Indian cinema. It also made Allu Arjun one of the biggest stars in India right now. At the end of the second part, the makers also hint at a third part, titled “Pushpa 3: The Rampage.” It may hit the floors once Allu Arjun gets done with his other projects with Atlee and Trivikram.
HIT 3:
Director Sailesh Kolanu weaved a cinematic cop universe with his HIT franchise. While the first part had Vishwak Sen as the lead, Adivi Sesh was the hero in the second part. Now, HIT 3 will have Nani as the lead hero and it is set for a grand release on May 1.
Tillu Cube:
After the blockbuster successes of DJ Tillu and Tillu Square, the makers announced the third part, Tillu Cube. MAD director Kalyan Shankar would helm this project.
MAD Cube:
Just like Tillu Cube, MAD will also have its third part, MAD Cube, after the super success of the first two parts. Meanwhile, we also hear that the crossover of the Tillu universe and the MAD universe will happen in a single film. However, there is no update about it.
Polimera 3:
Polimera had a direct OTT release and received a very good response from viewers. Polimera 2 was released in theatres which got mixed reviews but received well in masses on the craze of Polimera. Now, makers are coming up with Polimera 3, which is expected to hit the floors soon.
Apart from these films, the makers of F3, Odela, Mathu Vadalara and Karthikeya have also announced third parts.
