Congress sources said most party leaders have decided to contribute to the NDF. “The party has taken a unanimous decision to make these modest contributions to boost the morale of our forces,” a Congress leader told .
Revanth had led a National Solidarity Rally on Thursday to express support for India’s defence forces. At the rally, attended by thousands including party leaders and ex-servicemen, Reddy said, “India is a peace-loving country. However, some terrorists and their sponsors are misled into confusing our commitment to peace and rule of law as weakness. Don’t persist on this misguided track.”
He added, “India is one – a single unit – in this war against Pakistan-sponsored terrorists. All 140 crore people of India are united and together in backing its armed forces”.
