Amid the divorce rumours, an old interview of Sunita discussing marriage has resurfaced.
In one of the interviews, Sunita Ahuja once revealed that she lives separately from . In a chat with portal Pinkvilla, Sunita explained that she and kids live separately from Govinda. She stays in a flat with her kids while Govinda stays in a bungalow opposite their home. The reason she cited was the difference in lifestyle. She mentioned that she prefers to have a quiet time with family while Govinda would gather people to chat. However, later, when she visited Shirdi, she clarified her statement. Her remarks led to rumours of trouble in marriage. In her reaction to the statement she earlier made, Sunita mentioned that nobody can separate them. While speaking to Shirdi Today, she said, “Nobody can separate us. I have a lot of fun with him. There are people who want to break homes more than outsiders. I won’t let anyone break homes.”
During the same interview, she also shared advice for women. She suggested that women should hold their men in their hands and even compared men to cricket. She said, “Take care of your men. Men are like cricket – sometimes good, sometimes bad. I have always told women to hold their men in their hands like I have. If you can’t hold them, hit them.”
Govinda and Sunita married in the year 1987 and have two children – Tina Ahuja and Yashvardhan Ahuja.
