In a shocking turn of events, actor Lalit Manchanda has died by suicide. The actor was reportedly found dead in his apartment in Meerut on April 21, 2025. The actor was 36-year-old. As per reports, Lalit Manchanda was last seen in Asit Modi’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah that stars Dilip Joshi in lead. A picture of Dilip Joshi and Lalit Manchanda has gone viral on social media post the reports of latter’s demise hit headlines.
As per a report in Times of India, the police arrived at Lalit Manchanda’s residence after receiving a distressing call. It has been confirmed that he was found hanging in his apartment by the authorities who then sent his mortal remains for post-mortem. The report further suggests that police did not recover any suicide note from the residence. The early investigation did not point out at any foul play. As per the local media, Lalit Manchanda was said to be facing mental stress and personal challenges over the past few months. As per the report, the police is now talking to his family and friends to understand the cause behind the drastic step.
On Tuesday, Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) also took to social media to pay a tribute to Lalit Manchanda. Sharing a picture, a post made by the association read, “CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Lalit Manchanda (member since 2012).”
Apart from , Lalit Manchanda appeared in many small roles in films and TV shows like Crime Patrol and more. Reports suggest that he was currently working on a web series and was quite excited about the project. With the absence of suicide note, the cause of his demise is still unclear.
