PM Narendra Modi spoke to newly-elected German Chancellor Friedrich Merz Tuesday and exchanged views on regional and global developments, asserting that the two countries stand united in the fight against terrorism. “… the two leaders agreed to work closely to further strengthen bilateral ties, including in the areas of trade and investment, defence and security, and innovation and technology,” a statement by PMO said.
“Reaffirmed our commitment to further strengthen the Strategic Partnership between India and Germany… We stand united in the fight against terrorism,” the PM said in a post on X. PM Modi also invited Chancellor Merz to visit India.
