Sharmin Segal’s affair with Bollywood has a history of family roots. She is the third generation from the Bhansali-Segal film lineage. Her grandfather, Mohan Segal had famously launched Rekha. On the other hand, her mother, Bela Segal, edited Bhansali’s Black which released in 2005. Before making her debut as an actress, Sharmin worked behind the camera, assisting her uncle on films like Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.
Segal made her debut as an actor in Mangesh Hadawale’s Malaal in 2019 opposite Meezaan Jafri. She was last seen as Alamzeb in Heeramandi opposite the likes of Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Richa Chadda and more.
