It also received its iconic status as it was the last film to feature Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan opposite each other. Their history is known to all. Fans loved their chemistry but unfortunately, they never got paired again for a film. For the longest time, fans have been demanding for the sequel of Jab We Met. Imtiaz Ali once commented that Geet and Aditya would be at ‘lawyer’s office for divorce’ while talking about the sequel. Shahid Kapoor agrees with Imtiaz’ assessment.
In a latest interview with The Indian Express, shared his views on ‘s assessment and rather made a playful remark about ‘s character Geet. He said, “That’s actually a fun idea that Geet and Aditya are now breaking up because they are frustrated with each other. Aditya is like, ‘She is her own favourite, who can ever put up with her?” But further he clarified that if the filmmaker thinks that the characters will divorce each other then who is he to ‘come in between?’
Catching onto the trend of re-releases, also re-released in the theatres last year. After Jab We Met, Kareena and Shahid featured in the movie Udta Punjab. However, they had no scenes together.
Shahid Kapoor is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Deva. He plays a cop in the movie. The trailer promises high-octane action sequences that will add to the adrenaline rush of the audience.
